With New Farm Boutique Accomodation Wrightson Stewart have aimed to establish a series of interior moments that expand on the contemporary design theories created by Channon Architects.
Our objective was to highlight the heritage details of a traditional inner-city workers cottage.
This has been achieved through the juxtaposition of wall panelling; traditional v-j’s and tiling details with contemporary light fixtures, joinery handles, tap ware and furnishings.
A cool colour palette has been engaged to create a sense of intimacy and familiarity.
Nostalgic and playful moments have been created throughout, including perforated mesh inlays to joinery; shower curtains to ensuite shower areas and shaker-style door detailing.
All guest rooms include built-in storage concepts that incorporate luggage drop off and a mini-bar area concealed behind cabinetry.
Creating a design for accommodation is also about creating a memorable experience.
This allows us to push the boundaries further than that of an owner occupied dwelling.
